Writing Tips

Today technical writing holds a special place in the writing world. People who call themselves Technical writers may end up writing confusing jargons, and set of jargons to explain a jargon. Technical writing demands the author to be concise, structured and above all authoring requires a lot of preparation. A technical writer needs to ask questions and the first and foremost question is who is your audience? How well do they know about the subject you are presenting?
Days were when technical writing primarily referred to writing user manuals, system design documents, white papers and any similar document related to engineering and IT companies. In the last couple of years technical writing is drifted into many other fields like marketing, finance, advertising etc

Tips for effective writing

Research
Research the topic well to get acquainted with the new technical subject.
Audience
Understand your audience. If you lose at this, then you have lost a potential client.
Jargons
Avoid jargons. Learn to write concise and an understandable writing that speaks to its audience.
Grammar/Typos
Adhere to correct grammatical use of the language. Equip yourself well to avoid errors.
A good technical writing is always devoid of typos.
